Delta run....

Hi,

If I run a delta from R/3 2-3 times a day , is there any risk of losing the records during the working hours? Like for the time when I excute the delta to BW , where would the new records from R/3 goes during this loading time.

Any suggestion/thoughts on this?

Hi,

the delta mechanism is build not to loose data. So if you find a delta mechanism with data loss, it is time to fix it. It should not matter how often you trigger a delta.

And for the second part of the question: The "where" of the delta depends on delta type. Sometimes the delta is stored in Queues. Sometimes only timestamps are used.

Hi Jeetu,

You may not face any problem by running delta multiple times but it is not necessary i think to run delta multiple times a day. More oever you will not loose any new records that appear during delta run, they vl be available in next delta load. So you can proceed it it demands
