New Calendar setup

Hi experts

Now we get one request, Since we have two plants under one company code , one plant for the manufactory ,another plant is for logistic center. Now the plant use same calendar.

But sometimes, Manufactory take holiday , but logistic center still need work.

We hope to split the calendar for this two plant. How we could do ? copy a new calenar?

assign it to plant ? anything else is related to the calendar we need do ?

Hi,

Since both are different plants, they can have different calendars. So in SCAL transaction you can create a new holidays and holiday calendar. Then you can define a new factory calendar and assign the new holiday calendar to it. Now you can assign the new factory calendar to your logistics plant in the IMG path below.

IMG path >Enterprise Structure>Definition>Logistics - General>Define, copy, delete, check plant

Hi alice,

Create different Factory calender in SCAL since it is different plant and assign the factory calender

to Plant in op03 Tcode. while creating copy the existing factory calender and change the working days

that's it problem solved

Option-2

select those work centres and in the Capacity header remove the factory calender assignment

and in the header goto " interval and shifts " click on +intervals and select workdays as " 1 "

working days override factory calender and maintain shift sequence / shift definition / etc....

Hi,

U have to create two factory calender assign to ur plant respectively.

Go in SCAL

Define holiday list > assign to holiday calender >and assgn that holiday calender to Factory calender

the same factory calender u have to assgn ur plants respectively in production and development server.

Hello Alice,

I this case you need to maintain the two different clander for the plant.

Go to SPRO>ENTERPRISE STRUCTURE->DEFINITION> LOG GENERAL>DEFINE COPY,DELETE AND CHECK PLANT>DEFINE PLANT

How to create a factory calendar :-

Pl follow the steps

1.Go to SCAL transaction

2.there will be three options.

Click first public holidays and go in change mode.

Click create and create your holidays there and save.(Generally fixed date will be used in the pop up)

3.Now click Holiday calendar and go in change mode.

Click create and give holdiay cal id and description.

Click assign public holiday and add your holidays one by one and save

Now holiday cal is created.

4.Now come out and choose fact calendar and go in change mode

Click create and give Factory calendar id and description, and validity period.

Give the holiday calendar ID.

If you want to give special rule like any of the specific date/ day is the holiday or work day (which is different from holiday calendar you can define)

and save.

5.You have to assign factory calendar to PLANT

Go to SPRO>ENTERPRISE STRUCTURE->DEFINITION> LOG GENERAL>DEFINE COPY,DELETE AND CHECK PLANT>DEFINE PLANT.

Choose your plant and go to details- assign the resp calender to the Plant.
