Requirement planning strategy 11

Hi,

I have to do gross requirement planning. For this I have done following settings:

Maintained strategy group 11 on the MRP screen.

Set the Mixed MRP indicator to 2 on the MRP screen.

Maintain the item category group ( NORM) on the Sales Organization screen.

Maintain the Availability check (checking group 02 in the standard system).

I have following levels of material in decending order with one to one relationship

Final product say M1

Semi finisher M2

Semi finshed M3

Raw mat M4

Now after doing the settings for strategy 11 in all the four material. When I am running mrp for M1 system is taking gross qty for plan order of M2 but it is not doing planning for lower levels though I have done the same settings for all levels.

What can be the reason for this?

Is there something I am doing wrong or am i missing something?

Dear,

You have no need to maintain the planning strategy for SFG and raw material. As you are planning on finish product and runnning MRp also on it.

So remove the Plannning strategy and Mixed MRP then run the MRP again and check the result.

Yes system will consoder the grossrequirement for Finished product only?

Do you have stock of SFG and RW in stock it will get consider during MRP run.

Use MRP type -PD and Lot size-EX,

After removing strategy and mixed MRP indicator, system is creating the planned order but not on gross basis. It is considering the stock.....

For finished product it is gross but for all others it is net.... I want gross at all levels...

Hi,

What is your requirement type?

For strategy 11 it is BSF Gross planned independent requirements .

Please check in MD61 and MD04 screen?

BSF is already maintained....

Everything seems to be ok because system is generating planned order for finished product on gross basis....

is there any setting which we need to do for sfg or rm....

Dear,

I already told you that system will consider gross requirement for finish product only.

It will not consider for SFG and RW it will consider the plant stock during order creation. It is standard SAP procedure.

Hi,

You are right check ur mrp type for all semifinish and raw material.

also check strategy group for semifinished product it should be 11

now run mrp and check ur requirement for ur dependent.

it will get created.

MRP type for all the materials is PD and strategy in all the materials is 11.

But still when i m running mrp...system generated plan order for finished product only wihtout considering the stock....but not doing the same for dependants. There is no plan order created for other materials....like semi finised and rm..

what can be the reason...
