What is the process for SID rename on
HP-UX/Oracle platform for SAP 4.6C?
Different methods for the system copy. As suggested, go to instguide site or the other option which you can do is.
You must have installed SAP with the new sid on source( can terminate the instalaltion while db instance is going on at step import ABAP load)
on the source, type the command in sqlplus.
alter database backup controlfile to trace;
Copy the datafiles ( after shutting down oracle) to the destination.
in the trace file you can delete on of the two steps , check for the starting line . STARTUP NOMOUNT..
you can change the SID here in the script and then can run it( modify the location of the data file accordingly)
Also after that you have to change the env variable fro dbs_ora_schema to that of the source and not the one you installed.
pls check for the note 400241 and 50088
