Wrong char when using Code39 in CR8.5

We are using CR8.5 and are printing out Code39 barcodes. The problem is that when we write "/" CR converts it to "/0", that is wrong, it should be "/O" according to the ASCII table. Anyone know where the problem might be? Is this perhaps a bug in CR8.5? We have tried 3 different Code39 fonts with the same result just to rule out the font itself as the problem.
