Hi,

Changes made on to Client: Development (in your case, say Client 000), are recorded within a Request and then we need to Release the Request for transport using T.Code: SE10

example:

u have made changes on to Client: 000 and saved under request no. AEDKXXXX02

Now on to same Client: development; go to: SE10 and select ur Request and Release it.

(Imp.: Release Child request - AEDKXXXX01 first, and then Parent - AEDKXXXX02)

Now log in to the Client , say 800, and go to: STMS.

Select the request and release.

(Imp.: Tab: Option, select first 4 options)

Now, check the changes whether applied as required or not.

if satisfy with test-result, log in to: Production and again run T. Code: STMS. and follow the same procedure (in case you have different Clients for development, testing and production - Live).

Please revert for any clarification.

Note: This is purely SAP-Basis activity.

Rewards, if helpful

Hi there,

Transporting the configs is dependent from company to company.

In some companies we ourselves transport the TRs (transport Requests). Go to SE09 / SE10 in DEV server. Select the modifiable button in the screen, guve your user ID. You will find all the TR that need to be transported into the next client.

For each TR, there is + sign on the left side of the TR. Click it which will take you to the lower level task. We have to release that 1st. Only then we will be able to release the original TR. Select the lower level task & click on 'truck' sysbol at the top.

When we release the task, it will ask for documentation. Give any description for that. Then release the main TR by clickng the 'truck' symbol. It will released into the QAS server. You will find a tick mark against the TR which are released into the next server.

Go to STMS in QAS server. It will take you to the import queue of the QAS. The TR which you released earlier will be there in the import list. You can find that by giving the TR in the find (binoculars). Select the TR & click on the 'Truck' button. There will be 2 truck symbols there. Click on the symbol that has half loaded or half orange color. If you click on the full loaded or full orange truck, all the TRs in the import queue will be imported into QAS. So be careful. Once the TR is imported, you will find a green color tick mark against it. It means TR is successfully imported. Check for your configs in QAS. You will find them then.

But in some companies, we need to consolidate the TRs into a list & then mail them to the BASIS team. They will do the above said process. Check if you have SE09 / SE10 access, you will know it.

Hi,

Transaction to transport data from client to client is SCC1

First u need to create the transport request number in Client 000 in transaction SE01. Go to SE01 and select press create button and select customizing request button. It will take u to the other screen where u can enter the short description of the request and assign your User ID and save.

And then create the condition types you requried and save them with the transport request which u created now

Go to client 800 and give the Transport request number and source client and run

Hello,

For transporting the request from one client to another, you should have Transport Management System fully configured by BASIS team.
