IDES SAP ERP ECC 6.0 Queries

Hi all experts,

Here are queries about IDES DDIC "SAP*".

1. Can I assign new user?

2. Since IDES is installed in my laptop, do I need to change the profile parameter?

3. Can I use this "SAP*" for all my testing which include create new company, new invoice, new vendor, etc?

4. What is the authority level for "SAP*"? Can I duplicate to another User ID?

Hi,

A. You can create New User and assign user details.

2. Since IDES is installed in my laptop, do I need to change the profile parameter?

A. No Need, but when ever you want modify, you can.

3. Can I use this "SAP*" for all my testing which include create new company, new invoice, new vendor, etc?

A. Better u can create one new user like SAP* with full permissions (SAP_ALL and SAP_New profiles)

4. What is the authority level for "SAP*"? Can I duplicate to another User ID?

A. Yes.

Hi,

There is no need to add any etra parameter.

SAP* user is having more administrative authorizations. If you are a single user then it is ok .

But I suggest you to create a new user ID and through that ID create new company, new invoice, new vendor, etc..
