Hi all,
I am new to the portal, would appreciate the experts help. We are bringing down our backend ABAP for maintanence. How can I display a maintenance page to users who try to access the portal during this down time?
Thanks,
Tzyy Ming
Hi Tzyy Ming,
If you want to show a maintenance page for the entire portal, the easiest way I have found to do this is change the load balancer to route all requests to the maintenance page. You can also do it within the DNS table. Have you portal URL routed to the maintenance page. Some customers have scripts set up to be able to chance it to the maintenance page and then change it back when the system is up.
Hope this helps.
John
