Data Migrate from SAP DMS to content server

Hi We are at present using SAP DMS with no KPRO and external content servers . We have some DIR residing in SAP DMS and planning to enhance the system with KPRO and content servers . Please suggest how to migrate the existing data from SAP DMS to the content server DMS

Hi,

Use the program DMS_KPRO_CONVERT in SE38 to migrate the metadata and original application files to the storage categories from old doc types. For this you need to define necessary storage categories and content repositiries. The content repositories can be of the content type HTTP or SAP database.

Hi,

I assume you don't have any attachment in earlier DIR.

So through LSMW you can link original document & check - in KPRO server, or you can use BAPI_DOCUMENT_CREATE2 and make uploading program.
