PM: Maintenance items fields - Display only in the maintenance plans

In Plant Maintenance, we are able to mark the field business area in functional locations, equipment records, notifications and orders as Display only. I cannot find an area that allows me to mark the business area field as Display only for maintenance items in the maintenance plans. Using this field in error has caused problems for other departments. How can this field be suppressed for use?

As there is no specific customization for the same ,you can create an transaction variant for the same using SHD0 and make the field suppressed.but since business area is required for saving the maintenance plan , if you are creating a plan for general without specifying the technical objects ,you cannot save as BA is required which is not picked because of non entering of technical object
