Temporary SID Tables (type 06)

Before performing an upgrade, it is a good idea to make sure everything is in good working order that you care about.

Think about upgrading Windows, you need to backup the data that you care about or else you potentially can lose it forever.

Keep that in mind before you upgrade.

So, I always make Basis take a good, full, backup before doing an upgrade and before this, I make sure all objects are in a consistent state and I delete as many PSA's (to reduce data volume) as possible prior to starting.

Just a few tidbits for you...

Hi Anirudh,

I would like to add one more points to it:

After upgrading to BI 7.0, you should run the reports RSSM_HASH_ENTRIES_CREATE, RSSTATMAN_CHECK_CONVERT_DTA, and RSSTATMAN_CHECK_CONVERT_PSA. Schedule these BI upgrade reports after the functional upgrade to the BI 7.0.

Thank you,

Tilak
