Customer master data change -XD02 Disable all filelds except text screen.

Hi SAP Experts,

Have any idea please forward immediately.

In cusomer master data change XD02 all filelds should not be changed by specified users and the user should be able to update the text screen where as am giving the path below

XD02>company code data>Extras>Texts>Double click on accounting text screen. then it directs to text screen.

here user can update the information.

Since the Master data fileds can be change by the diffrent team like the details of address.... and the other users team from same dept. should not able to change address...and all other fileds in XD02 except the text screen.

Is it possible to develop in xd02 . if it is please explore what are the ways...

Yes, instead of suppress, display can also be used. But instead of centrally which affects all users using XD02 transaction better to use accounting which affects only FD02 transaction.

Thanks for contributing your valubale suggestions. But this could be effected to all users as my client requirement is the fileds should be disable fileds for specific users and not for all users it means the reqiremnt should user specific.

Thats the reason why I am suggesting to use FD02 (change customer accounting) instead of XD02(change customer centrally). For the users whom you want to restrict, give authorization for only FD02 tcode and for the users whom you dont want to restrict, give authorization for XD02 tcode.

Hi

As said by GSL goto OB20 and select "change customer centrally" and in the

general data

company code data

sales data

select the required fields and check the radio button "display"

if you suppress you cannot find the fields at all

I am not too sure whether this will work but you can try. Instead of XD02, give authorization to only FD02 for that user. Goto SPRO --> Financial Accounting --> AR and AP --> Customer Accounts --> Master Data --> Preparations for creating customer master data --> Display screen layout per activity --> Change customer (accounting). Tcode is OB20. Here suppress the fields which you dont want the user to change in the field status for general data and company code data tabs.
