Hi All,
I have an issue in material master change history, when a user makes change(MM02) in any 1 field in any view and then if he just run over some of the views without making any changes to them and save the material master. then when we see the change history by pressing the Blue icon(information on material) next to the material description.
It shows that the user has done the changes to all the views which he had just viewed but not made any changes for that. why is that? is this working as per standard SAP or should we use any oss note to correct this so that it shows only the changes which the user has made.
but the change history is fine in MM02, Menu-environment-Display changes. and even its fine in MM04.
Thanks
Mahendra
Dear,
Also check authorization for change history.
Check same material in other user id which have full authorization.
Some times system not display change history due to no authorization.

Once a Material Master is Saved and if any User Tries to Change any of the Views Fields then System will Record the Actions whatever user is doing.
The Blue Icon Information will Show Just the Recorded Information what Views User has visited During Change.
It Doesnot mean System View show Only changed Views.

why do you browse thru all views that are not necessary for your changes?
Are you sure you expect a fix from SAP to hide the traces from your stray?
SAP records what views have been accessed before saving. The status info does not compete with the change history, it completes the picture.
