Hi,
Suddenly no add-ons work on my SAP Business one 2005A Patch level 29 installation. The only major thing I did in the recent past was issue a license to my server.
Installation of any add-on gives the following message :-
Error to the path is denied
then this message :
EndInstallEx returned -2
then :
Add-on installation failed or was aborted by the user
What could have happened ?
Hi..
John said correct, u have to delete temp file and refresh the addon.
Regards..

Yes I have, but the problem still persists.
A little history here..
Before this error I encountered the error that says another version is currently running please change the version of the add-on to a higher one.
I deleted the file AddOnsLocalRegistration.sbo as per advice on this forum and that is where this problem started. But even after replacing it manually by copying it back the same error is still there...

Thank you for your help. Am very grateful.
After a thorough analysis of the my SAP installation, other softwares and the problems I have been having lately such as a failed DTW, I decided to make a clean up with a registry cleaner.
This did the trick and its now working OK.
Once again, Thank you very much.
you need access to your temp folder
to view temp folder go to start run %temp% --- sap writes a folder called SM_OBS_DLL to that directory.
if you have no authority to do the writing and the folder isn't there this error can ensue.

On closer observation I have realised that not even these files
Interop.SAPbobsCOM.dll
Interop.SAPbouiCOM.dll
and others are being installed. These were all originally included in the add-on. Which were all working fine.
What could be blocking this ??
