Hello,

We are planning an upgrade of our CRM platform (CRM 5.0) with oracle version 10.1.0.4 to CRM 2007.

I was wondering which oracle version i would upgrade to : 10.2.0.2 or 10.2.0.4 ?

What do you guys think is the best/stable version ?

Thanks for your answers.

Rgds,

Marc.

Hello Marc,

As SAP certified Oracle 10.2.0.4 for the use with SAP you can use Oracle 10.2.0.4 but dont opt for Oracle 10.2.0.3 since this is not certified by SAP for the use with SAP systems.

hence recommend you to go for 10.2.0.4 for your SAP systems.

Thanks,

Venkat.

10.2.0.4 = 10g R2 with Patchset 5 is available now with the recent fixes.

10.2.0.4 is recommended since after upgrade to 10.2.0.2 we get EWA asking us to move to 10.2.0.4.

BTW there is no such which is the best or suitable afterall we shud move to the SAP recommended.

Hello Marc,

i think you are mixing up two things

10.1.0.4 = 10g R1 with Patchset 4

10.2.0.2 = 10g R2 with Patchset 2

10.2.0.4 = 10g R2 with Patchset 4

So you always upgrade from 10g R1 to 10g R2 .. and then is the question which Patchset for 10g R2.

I would use 10gR2 with Patchset 4, because there are some nice features and not so many bug fixes to apply.

Regards

Stefan
