ESS Workflow

HI,

We have migrated 4.6c to ECC 6.0

..........

I have initiated ESS Leave Request workflow from Portal. we are accessing the business workplace view in portal.from that when i execute the workitem it is showing as

"The request cannot be started from the Business Workplace " .

if i open the same workitem in ECC 6.0 , the same error is coming .

any idea ??

All the ESS workflows can be executed only from UNIVERSAL WORK LIST (UWL) that is from portal not from Business work place. You have to configure EP and create iviews and regesiter the task in t-code swfvisu.

Hi,

This is the std.msg that you get when you try to execute the witem from SAP Inbox. And, if you see the corresponding std.workflow, there is this only method in that ABAP class.

If i am not wrong, what you need is to configure the corresponding WebDynPro Application in SWFVISU and also maintain the ESS Leave Request config settings(See Txn PTARQ for more details).

After the migration, did you check SWU3 and are they all fine?
