Hello experts,
I have a little problem with CCMS when working to alert DB2 database backup failure.
Backup fails but the node:
Database --> DB2 --> Backup/restore --> database backup --> "The last backup is current" (green)
although the backup is failing everyday. It should give a red alert!!!!
I think this is related with function DB6_ALM_BACKUP.
Anybody can help me?
My system is a CRM 5 (netweaver 7)
thanks and regards,
Filipe Vasconcelos

Hi,
Please review the below notes regarding the issue.
971389 Green alerts for CCMS_TRIGGER_AUTO_REACTIONS
746193 RZ20: Generating all-clears ("green alerts")
535199 CCMS agents: Monitoring log files
This will really help you in solving the issue.
Thanks & regards,

Hello,
your notes are helpful but I think we could configure this directly in CCMS with the existing nodes in RZ20.
Database -> DB2 Universal Database for NT/UNIX -> Backup/restore -> database backup
although this node has 3 methods:
data collection: CCMS_DB6_CT_BACKUP
Auto-reaction method: CCMS_DB6_WATCHDOG
Analysis method: CCMS_DB6_AT_BACKUPMON
The problem is that the method data collection is not working very well. It puts green alerts when the backup failed.
As I could investigate this method calls function DB6_ALM_BACKUP that I tried to execute in SE37 and it needs input parameters. Does anybody know what are the input parameters?
Many thanks.
Best regards,

Hello,
DB13 tells that the backup failed.
As I could investigate, this node is related to method CCMS_DB6_CT_BACKUP and this method executes function DB6_ALM_BACKUP. The problem is that this function is executing without parameters.
I guess the problem is in method CCMS_DB6_CT_BACKUP that need input parameters.
Do you know the parameters for this method?
thanks

Hi,
Just check in DB13 what does this say?
Also check the details of that node what does it say ? like when does it refer the last backup is taken?

Vamshi.
