Message not updating in SRM

Hi SRM Gurus,

We follow classic scenario.

When the shopping cart is created the follow-on document is created in SAP and the same message is not updating in SRM.Due to this the users are not able to do the Confirmation for the shopping cart.

Can anybody please explain the reason that the message is not updating in the Follow-On Documnets in SRM
