Hi Friends,
The size of the BALDAT table grows and it is necessary to monitor the growth.
What does this table contain, what data is stored in this table. How important are these contents, what stratergy does one adopt to delete the records from this table.
What is a huge size of the BALDAT table after which it will tend to affect performance

Aliila

Hi,
Did you check the suggested note 195157?
Everything is mentioned there clearly.
The application log is a tool to collect, save and display logs.
Many different applications collect messages in the application log which contain information or messages for the end user. The application automatically log serves as a temporary storage for messages. The logs are written on the database but they are not automatically deleted.
so you have to delete this log manually. it's not required later.

kaushal
Hi!
Application LOGs could be very useful for your functional team. I only suggest to clean the very old application logs, you'll nevel know when somebody find a terrible mess in the system and would like to see the application log to find out what happened. If you already do some archive I suggest to archive and not delete. And if you decide to delete, check first with your functional team.
Cheers,
