BOM message control

Hi PP Gurus,

How to insert in message in message control BOM.

Path is

SPRO --> Production --> Basic Data --> Bill of Material --> General Data --> Change Message Type.

Actual I have activated ECM but at the time CS01 / CS02 change number field is not getting mandatory.

Please help.

Can you kindly update regarding the issue whether has it been resolved or not?

You have also not replied for your previous regarding BOM creation & approval.

Dear Abhay,

It's not only the configuration settings,Check these settings

1.In OS27 - Check box included for BOM validity maintained,EC Management active,History Requirement.

2.In OS25 - BOM usage 1 & BOM status 1 - History Requirement check box is included.

3.Authorization object C_STUE_NOH is with No.

After making these changes and saving and assigning the same to that user id,logout and login and then

check.

Dear Mangalraj,

Thanks for your valuable inputs.Upto this problem is resloved, but when we change the BOM wrt change no and release key is applicable then system is considering earlier bom details for production order if change number is not been released.

My requirement is system should not allow to use any bom if change number is not released.

Please drop your valuable inputs.

Dear Abhay Misal,

Check out this,

When you are creating the BOM for a material for the first time and if you are using a

Change number with release key for that and after the BOM is created ,if the change number is not

released means(Release key is not set in CC02),for that material the system does not allow you to create

any production order or planned order.

Once after setting the Release key and for further changes if you again use a Change number with

release key and if you have not set the release key means,still the system will consider the existing BOM

Components and based on this it will allow you to go for Pr.Order creation.This cannot be stopped.

This is standard functionality of Engineering Change number with release key.

For your requirement might be after doing some enhancements this might be achieved.

Check & revert back.

Hi,

Please do the necessary configuration settings in OS25 - Configure History

Requirements for BOM & in OS27 - Define Modification Parameters for BOM

(Include the settings for check box against EC Management active & History Requirement.)

1.For Making Engineering Change Number as a mandatory for material master creation/change has to be carried out using Field Exit.

2.For making ECN as a mandatory for BOM creation / Change apart from SPRO settings for the user id check for this authorization

object C_STUE_NOH - No or Yes.It should be No,then the user will not be allowed to create or change a BOM without ECN.
