How can identify which are the fields (characteristics) mandatory in CV01N?

Hi,

In one document type i have 10 characteristics.

How can identify which are the fields (characteristics) mandatory in CV01N ?

Is there any color identification ?

My basic requirement is user should know which are the mandatory fields, some indication.

I know when ever am saving document, system is giving a pop-up for mandatory fields.

Hi Sunny,

unfortunatly there is no special signation for mandatory characteristics in the DMS transactions.

The only way to see what characteristics are mandatory is to display the class in CL03 and go to tab 'Char'. Here you will see a flag in column required for all mandatory characteristics.

In transaction CV01N if you save a new document you should be asked to fill in values for these required characteristics. So this would be a second possibility to see what chars are mandatory.

I would suggest to SAP please make some indicator in CV01N. It makes more user friendly software.
