Cannot see workbench link under data services

Former Member

Hi,

After a great struggle, we successfully upgraded xMII 11.5 to 12.

I can't see the "xMII workbench" link under data servers. I can only see "connection status" under data servers.

We didn't run the migration utility as we don't have anything to migrate. Does it require any further configuration ?

Thanks,

Srini.

Hi Srini,

welcome to MII 12.0...

As the security changed from 11.5 to 12.0 into the NetWeaver UME, you should check if you have assigned the XMII Administrator or Developer role. Otherwise you won't see the workbench link.

Please have a look at the thread about the 12.0 security model:

Hi Prasad,

you can start the NetWeaver Start Page using "http://<server>:<port>/" address and then click on the link "User Management". You may also use the direkt URL to the UME by entering "http://<server>:<port>/useradmin".

If you receive an error when starting the UME, the installation does not seem to be correct. I would indeed contact the admin who set up the installation to check, if the MII start user has been entered and is correct. I would expect that with the installation a super user is created with admin access, and this user then creates other "end users".
