unable to create sub contract PO

i am getting error "Not possible to determine any components" the BOM is not exploding while creating sub contract po.

BOm is created using CS01( tcode) and display in CS13...

check for material

and BOM ussage - 1(prod)

see for components and quantity.

Hi,

Go to ME21N, Then enter the required data and in item category enter ' L ' which will enable 2 icons in the master tab in item details

there you have to enter the child materials for the parent materials then you will not get any error.

Just want to add that you can manually put the components while creating the Po in ME21N in material tab in item detail

There you will found two push button BOM explosion which if you already creted the BOM with parent child relationship for the FG which serves as an Parent and components as child in Trax CS01

If BOM is not mantained then go to the components tab and Put tha material code and qty for the componenet materials.

Hope you have already Maintained BOM Properly for End Product.

Now Please Ensure the Following :

Purchasing Item Category must be "L" and production BOM must be maintained, if you want to explode BOM in PO.

Please check BOM valid period is effective from in Tcode CS03

Please check your PO date against the valid date of the BOM valid period.
