How to apply a license in SAP.is it necessary to apply license from 000 client.

First apply for license in https://service.sap.com/licensekeys
You 'll receive a notepad file.
Then go to T-code slicense-> new license, it 'll ask for license file
As far I know its not necessary to apply license from 000 client only
we have to apply from any client,its not mandatory from 000.

Just apply for a license at http://service.sap.com/licensekey
It's simple, just follow the screens. Give u'r mail id and a txt file will be mailed to you within an hour.
Login into system and start SLICENSE. Goto "New licenses".
Unde New licenses -> Install . Here just upload the txt file. That's it. You'll see new license installed here.
