Hi,
Hierarchical positioning of G/L accounts based on specific legal requirements.
You can create FSV using TC:OB58.
Each financial statement version stands alone. For example you could design an FSV with all the accounts from your chart of accounts as a master FSV and then cut it down for various other purposes such as an asset report, a working capital report or a cash flow report. Many companies which have to report under two sets of rules will use an FSV for local GAAP excluding accounts which are only relevant for US GAAP and another FSV with those accounts included for US GAAP. The local GAAP report may also use the local chart of accounts if there is one. This is how we get reporting under different rules out of one set of books.

Hi
Financial statement version is a tool to display the various G/L accounts for your reporting purpose.
It is created at a chart of account level.
You can use tcode OB58 for creating a FSV. There are different levels such as assets, liabilities, profit/loss etc. You can attach your GL accounts to these levels so that an account is correctly displayed under the relevant head.
