Cell reference ignores scaling and decimal places

Any idea to solve the following situation?

A query in NW2004s (but still using old 3.5 BEx, not yet converted), having two structures. In both structures, scaling is set to 1000 and decimal places to 0. Executing the query results in figures that we expect (scaled by 1000, no decimal places).

But: as soon as we define a cell reference on a certain cell, the scaling and decimal places are totally ignored. Even if we do not use this cell reference in a formula. So the difference between the working and non working version of the query is just a cell reference, nothing else.

How can we avoid this? We thought that it might be a bug, but searching for a corresponding note did not bring any that deals with that problem.

Thanks for any hint.

I just solved the problem. Import note 1139770, remove old abaps from the query and regenerate it.

That did the job for me.
