deactivate plant

Hi Friends,

How can we de-activate particular plant for particular Company code. Actually i needs to deactivate for PO creation time only.

User Mistakely choosing unused plants. I don't want to delete it just i want deactivate it. Is it possible Or not. If possible please guide me.

Hi

If you decide taht you are not going to use this plant

then:-

1.All stocks from this plant need to be moved to different plant

2. remove all the MRP parameters from material master

3. ensure that no planning run happens for this plant

4. remove the source list assignments against material

5. finally the cocd assignment and the P.org assignment should be removed.

but i would not recommend cocd assignment.

instead alternate method would be to user Security

remove the authorisation for the users for creating

any documents against this plant.

I fully agree with doing it via authorizations.

if you remove the assignment plant to company code, then you will probably never be able to archive any records for this plant unless you establish the customizing again if you someday want archive the material masters and other data that became obsolete with the this plant deactivation.

remove assignment of plant to co.code...but remember that it'll affect all the existing record...

This is possibe only if:

1. Dont have any material defined for it..

2. No PO/orders made for...
