Hi Experts,

I was wondering if it is possible to create an ABAP Web Service with more than one operation. It seems standard ES only have one operation for each ES.

Pierre... the best way is to try out.

I can't think of any reason why it should not be supported.

I currently don't have access to a dev environment during the day and have other things to do during the night so I can't experiment at the moment.

Standard web services have only one operation to allow customers to use this web service with any NW 2004 or NW 7.0 system.

You can create your own web services with multiple operations, for example from ESR 7.1 But you can use then only in NW 7.0 system > SP 14 or NW 7.1 system.

Allright Stefan. And is it possible to create WS with multiple operations in the ERP? From a FM or BAPI using the create WS wizard in SE37 or SE80 for instance.

Hi,

When you start the create WS wizard in SE80 you can choose what to base it on - an RFC, a BAPI or a function group. If you choose function group you can then choose which modules within that function group to make available as operations.

Hope this helps,

Gareth.

Hi Gareth,

Indeed, I found out how to create a WS with multiple operations last night.

Thanks.
