Work Order?

Hello,

The client requirement is to generate work order for some cases such as field verification, Meter removal, meter installation, disconnection, reconnection and so on.

I would like to know the following.

1. Whether these work orders should come in Action box?

2. Then what I have to do in work management?

Hi Naren,

Thanks. Do you mean the following.

1. Define service objects

2. Define order codes

3. allocate service objects to order codes

Is service orders and service objects are different?

Also, how to map this with Action box?

You can see some orders in "Techn" tab in action box. You can see this if you use the component ISU_EEF.

How to map the work orders with CIC0 screen? Is it through Action box or through context menu or through Navigation and application area?

Simply, how to create a work order for site investigation from CIC screen?

Please suggest.

Jack.

Hi Jack

If u want to create a work order

Use TCODE IW31

Enter ur order type

Plant and business area

BY this u can create Order for a job.

Then... if u want to create Order type, Customize the same with Plant Maintenance Module.

hi jack

prince here..

in action box in the doicument tab u will get all generated contacts, sales order, sales quotation, service quotation, service order, service notifications defaultly available if u use the component ISM_SDCONTRACTLIST in the component column in the maintain application and navigation area

like wise check for the component which will suit ur requiremnnet for workorder use component isu_order in one of ur tabs in application areas..and try with that

Prince,

Do you mean in the Navigation area --> document tab. Right?

That is to display the existing documents or orders.

I would like to create work orders which may not be customer relevant.

Please suggest.

Hi Pithan,

Thanks. Is iW31 is enough to create the orders like work order for site investigation, disconnection, meter replacement, installation and so on?

Hi jack

Yes. This is sufficient.

You wil define the work like installation, repair or service in order types

If its useful, Points

. External Service Orders are modeled using service orders from the Customer Service (CS) component. Some periodic service, such as meter replacement, requires a Service Order

Based on the scenario, we have to create different orders like disconnection, reconnection, meter replacement orders.

If necessary maintain notifications tooo for ur order.

for to create order IW31 is correct.

Dear Naren,

Thank you. I am clear. Creating Work orders comes under Plant Maintenance tasks.

From the point of CIC, I would like to integrate the work orders in Action box.

Following are the options for call definition in the Transactions in the Action box.

- Methods

- Workflow

- FO process

- Test run

- BDC

- HTML Option

I saw few orders come under FO process. My question is whether the customer specific Work orders should be called from the FO process or through some other means?

If it is through FO process, how to add in the FO process?

Also, please suggest me about the data flow as well.

Regards, Jack

Hello,

How about integrating Workorders in Context menu as follows.

Meter removal, Meter replacement - In Context menu of Device.

Meter installation - In Context menu of Intallation.

Site Verifiacation - In Context menu of Premise

Disconnection / Reconnection order - From disconnection document.

Suggestions please.

hi

to enhance ur action box with workorder u need to follow the following steps

goto ewfc0

then select any tgp and clcik transaction

then

gve ur own name in tcode..say work

then select fo process n gv trep0001

parameter dialog standard..

runtime settings as u wish but gv new window

after this itwill ask for data flow

i dont have any idea for data flow consult ur abap programer or work flow guys..

even if u ignor data flow and save u can see the workorder in ur action box ..it will fetch u the workorder screen

but u cant execute it

since the data flow is incoorect

try it
