Dear friend,
I have an issue in Assets Accounting related to Ordinary Depreciation Start date.
Please help me to resolve this.
Our client follows standard procedure that the Ordinary Dep Start date is the date of Asset Capitalized and not the date of First Acquisition.
All the Dep Key are working accordingly. In one of the newly created Dep Key the Ord Dep start is deriving from the First Acquisition date which is not correct as per business.
For Eg-Asset 123-Capitalized on 01.01.2007
Asset 123 Acquisition Posted on 30.01.2008
Dep Start date is to be 01.01.2007, but our Dep key is taking it as 30.01.2008(Acquisition date)
I have used the following Parameters in the Key.
Base method- 0014 Ordinary: explicit percentage (after end of life)
Declining Bal-0
Period Control-01/06/01/01
Mulitlevel u2013 ACQ Year-999/Year-999/Per-12/Base Value-24/Percentage-0%
Please help me how to make the Dep Key to default the Ord dep start date from Capitalization date and not from Acquisition date..
Thanks
Tajammul
Hi,
Check the multilevel method using in depreciation key, May be at the time of configuration validity start they might be given as acquistion date.Change the validty start to ordinary depreciation start date.
