How to transport DEv system to Quality then production of SLD,IR & ID
regards,
kalpana
You have to use Transport method
Procedure:
1) Call Integration Builder screen on DEV Server with http://hostname:J2ee Port/rep
2) Call SLD (System Landscape Directory) Component from the Integration builder
Save all the Following .zip files on the Local Desktop
3) Select the Software Component & say Export that you want to Export from DEV
Server to Production server and which is going to use in the IR of XI
4) Also Select the Product of the above SWC and say Export
5) Select the Technical Systems (TS of XI & TS of the SAP R/3) and say Export
6) Select the Business System(s) & say Export; those are associated with above Exported
Technical systems.
In Production Server
1) Logon to the SLD of the Production Server.
2) Create a Technical System and Business system which points to the Production SAP R/3
3) Go to Administration TAB in the main page of SLD
4) Select the Import option to Import the SWC , PRD, TS,& BS which we Exported Earlier in DEV Server
5) Click on Browse and select the .zip files that is to Import into Production Server,
Which were stored on the local desktop at the time of DEV Server Export
And say Import Selected File Option
By this we exported and imported the SLD Objects
Now we have to create transport groups and transport targets in the Production server of SLD
Creation of? Transport Groups
Edit Groups?Group?1) Select the Business systems
2) Click on New Group and give the name of the group as DEV_group & select the
Corresponding Development serveru2019s integration Server
3) Similar way create another group for Production serveru2019s business system as
PRD_group and select the Production serveru2019s integration Server
Creation of? transport targets
This is to Define which business systems in two different groups correspond to each other
1) Select each Business system in the SLD and select transport TAB---click on
Add/Change Target and select its corresponding target business system.
For Example:
If you select the business system of Production XI server means
In the target you have to select group as DEVGROUP and the business system of Development XI server.
Like this do the same for other business systems also
Ex:
BS_PRD_Integration Server----
BS_DEV_Inetration Server

Hii
Transportation is of two types. a) File system Transport or b) CMS. If you want to use CMS then basis team should have install CMS.
Check this document for transportations using CMS and File transport:
https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/weblogs?blog=/pub/
you can use CMS or file system transport, depending on how your system is configured
if your idoc scenario is from DEV1 to XID to DEV2 in the dev landscape
and in the quas landscape is QAS1 XIQ to QAS2 then the transport target for DEV1 is QAS1 and the transport target for DEV2 is QAS2.
that means the transport target is the corresponding business system under a different landscape, (dev or qas or prod)
CMS is NW tool for transporting developments
This will help you

hi kalpana,
How will u transport xi scenario from development to testing?
Ans) Using File System we can transfer to Development to QA(Testing) OR Using CMS.
Using File System:
1.Call the Context menu for a namespace or a software Component version in the Integration Builder navigation tree and choose Export------Or Choose Tools -- Export Design objects.
2. Select the Transport using File System mode and follow wizards instructions
3 The Integration Builder saves a binary export file with the suffix .TPZ in the export directory of the repoistery Server.
4. Do not change the file name of the export file. If you do the Integration Builder will not accept it as the appropriate file when you import.
5. To import the export files to anthor Integration Repoistery, first copy (or) move it to the Import directory of the target repoistery.
6. call the design maintenance serene of the Intergration Builder for the target repoistery choose tools
-
> Import Design Objects.
7. Select the export files saved in the import directory by using the dialogbox that apprears.
8. If the import is successful , the export files are moved to the subdirectory<ServerDir>/XI/Repoistery-server/Imported Files.

1) File Transport
2) Using CMS which needs configuration to be done
Using the File Transport you can easily the Export the Objects and Import the Objects in the Target system.
Select the Object in the Design or Configuration ->right Click you will find Export option.
When you select the It creates the .tpz file which can be imported in the Target System
Using file transfer or CMS we transport xi objects.
Look into this blog for how to export / improt IR and ID objects,
