Hello Experts,
I'm new in SAP, can you explain me backint and its use.
I saw backint in detail log of sap backup.
Thanks.
hi,
BACKINT is somekind of interface program that connect between 3rd party backup software and SAP BRBACKUP to backup your SAP server data.
I guess you can search on SAP sites for more clearly.

Hi "Learner",
just by typing in "BACKINT" to the upper left search box I was able to find this document [BC-BRI BACKINT Interface for Oracle Databases|https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/24ae2e3a-0d01-0010-838f-ace2a9154bac]
This should answer all of your questions concerning Backint.
Basically it is a interface definition for backup tools, so that e.g. the BR*Tools can trigger backups for different types of backup tools via a standard way.
regards,
Lars
