problem with scope, SKIP_DIM command

In the following logic, I need to skip the dimension Account_Plan in the source cube, but I need to reference it in the data region derived by the query. When I remove the SKIP_DIM line, the dimension is included and I can reference it. Is there a way around this?

Formula

// This package copies budgeting and forecasting data to the FINANCE application

// Included as part of default logic

*DESTINATION_APP=FINANCE

*RENAME_DIM PRODUCT_PLAN=ACCOUNT_GL

*RENAME_DIM AGGTYPE_PLAN=AGGTYPE

*ADD_DIM INTCO=NON_INTERCO

*ADD_DIM PROJECT=PJ999

*SKIP_DIM=ACCOUNT_PLAN

*XDIM_MEMBERSET ACCOUNT_PLAN=Balance,InterestIncExp

*WHEN CATEGORY

*IS <> "ACTUAL_SRC","ACTUAL_ADJ"

*WHEN ACCOUNT_PLAN

*IS "BALANCE"

*WHEN AGGTYPE_PLAN

*IS "EOM"

*REC(FACTOR=1, PRODUCT_PLAN=PRODUCT_PLAN.GL_BS)

*ENDWHEN

*IS "INTERESTINCEXP"

*WHEN AGGTYPE_PLAN

*IS "NAT"

*REC(FACTOR=1, PRODUCT_PLAN=PRODUCT_PLAN.GL_IS)

*ENDWHEN

*ENDWHEN

*ENDWHEN

*COMMIT
