mass update of material master

Hi Gurus,

I want to do the mass update for material master i.e chnage the planned delievry time. Can i do it with t.code mm17. If yes, please let me know how to do it.

If no, please let me know if there is any other transaction for this.

In MM17

select objcet type BUS1001

In the next screen select the table MARC line and click on execute

Select the material and plant, execute

click on select values icon (first icon in the plant data for material tab page

select the field - Plnd delivery time and take it to left side.

then enter.

In the Top row enter the Plnd delivery time/selcet the column planned delivery time and follow the menu path

Edit -->change field name of Clock on F8.

then save.

system will do the changes...first do the test run ...then if okay save it.

Thnx. i checked it. It is working.

Just want to ask one more thing before i close this thread.

User wants to chnage the planned delivery time to 90 days for all parts. Should i advise him to use this transaction i.e mm17 or should develop a uplaod prgramme?

Kindly suggest.

Use MM17 itself..it is best suited for your purpose.

Hello Dutta,

Yes u can update the planned delivery time for material master using the MM17.

But the restrictions is volume of data you are going to update.

If your data is huge means say more than 5000 , you can try the LSMW.

Hello,

First note the field name of planned delivery time by pressing F1 at MRP view,

Then Goto MM17 select the table MARC and filed Name And excute,
