Hi All,
I have the following issue at a client.
I have two plants one uses WM and the other IM.
When the process order is created and batch determination runs it selects the batch with the FEFO rule as we expect.
The issue at both plants is the system always selects a full container never a partial. The users need to manually determin which container to use.
Is it possible to set the system to chose the first expired batch and also partial quantities.
There is no batch dtermination set for Im or WM just Process Order.
Thanks
Stuart
In the batch search strategy record there should be a field labelled "Quantity proposal". There is usually a 1 or 2 available that is provided by SAP. I believe that 1 assigns whatever qty it can to the first batches in order regardless of qty. I believe the 2 assigns the qty to the first batch that can meet the full requirement.
You can copy the FM's behind these and create your own quantity proposals if you don't like what SAP provides.
