SAP Install Server & Client Install Issues

All,

Sorry for the length of the note but I have a unique problem that I hope someone can provide assistance on troubleshooting. We are running SAPGUI 7.10 for Windows and we have Installation servers setup to manage our clients.

My current install server setup is:

SAPGUI 7.10 with the following patches applied: gui710_4-10002995.exe, kw710_2-10004321.exe, bw350gui710_2-10004473.exe and bi710sp03_300-10004472.exe.

Updating existing sap clients and fresh installs work fine.

Now when I apply the current round of approved patches to the install server, they apply fine. When I then run NWSAPSETUP.EXE /UPDATE to process to an existing SAPGUI machine, the BW folder under C:\Program Files\SAP FrontEnd gets deleted???? Weird huh? Also, if I image a machine and do a fresh install, the same occurs???

The last round of patches I applied to the installation server are: gui710_9-10002995.exe, kw710_3-10004321.exe, bw350gui710_3-10004473.exe, bi710sp06_600-10004472.exe and bi710sp06p_601-10004472.exe.

Lastly, the order I listed the patches in is the same order they were applied to the installl Server. Also, I did verify that .NET 2.0 was already installed on both the existing machine and the fresh image because of the BI component.

Any assistance that anyone can provide in troubleshooting this issue would be GREATLY appreciated.

Regards,

-Jeff-

Sorry...needed to clarify something else...

We still have a legacy BW35 environment and the new BI environment will go live at the end of the year. This is why we still need the legacy BW stuff along with the BI components.

Hope this clears thing up.
