Distr.model and partner profile

Hi,

Can anybody please demonstrate on Distribution Model and Partner profile .

I am new to MDM so please explain in easy terms

Hi Abhiram,

Distribution model gives you how the systems are connected.It is a model that describes the ALE message flow betwwen the logical systems. The relationships between logical systems , message types , BAPI and filters are defined in the distribution model.

Transaction is BD64.

partner profile : partner number and partner type should be filled. they are further requisites for data exchange. partner profiles are defined separately for inbound and outbound.

Transaction is WE20.

SALE guides you through all required steps (with explanation!) that need to be done to setup your SAP system for master data distribution using ALE.
