who can tell me in what situation the <sid>adm user should be used. As in our environment, we never use this user.
thanks
Hi,
If u are using Windows Server u will be using <SID>adm for using BRTOOLS.
If u are using UNIX or Linux or IBM AIX servers u must logon with <SID>adm to startsap (or) to stopsap and u can do modifications to BRTOOLS by using <sid>admu2026u2026

<sid>adm usually is used for starting or stopping SAP. There may be valid reasons for not doing so.
