DB shutdown when backup is running.

We cannot start our SAP on SQL anymore. We guess it's because

the SAP system was stopped by somebody while a backup was running.

How to start the SAP system in this situation?

Thanks!

As always, if systems are not coming up, check the files

dev_disp

dev_w0

Also check if your SQL server is running.

Check the Windows event log, check the SQL server log.

In both logs , we see only something like DB is down. No further info. Please advise. Thanks!

Hi,

please send us the exact message you see. Or please send us the first 50 rows of the SQL Server errorlog.

Best regards

Christy,

to help you we need more information like "something that DB is down".

Open SQL-Studio and check the database, start it. If that fails for some reason you will find the reason in the windows even log (application).
