BEx Analyzer 7.10 FEP700 and txn RRMXP

Hi all,

at the moment, we are able to open BEx workbooks via the portal (EP7) using a SAP transaction iview & txn RRMPX.

This works fine.

BEx analyzer 6.40 opens and refreshes the workbook.

But since we 'upgraded' 2 pc's to BEx analyzer 7.10 FEP700, this method doesn't work anymore (on those PC's).

Instead of opening the workbook, a SAPGui session opens and gives the error

Microsoft Excel is not installed; install Microsoft Excel Viewer

Message no. RSR_LAUNCH_EXCEL102

To rule out portal issues, I started txn RRMXP directly from SAPGui, and yes, I get the same error message.

Apparently RRMXP does not work with BEx analyzer 7.10?

PS. BEx analyzer 7.10 itself works fine, only starting it from RRMXP doesn't seem to work.

Anyone any idea?

Tnx for the quick answer!

Unfortunately it does not solve my problem.

The OSS-notes point in the right direction but aren't applicable.

I'm gonna search some more.

Problem solved.

Apparently Bex analyzer for 3.x MUST be installed for this functionality to work.

This was not installed.

Added it an now it works.
