Add standard field to the personal setting icon in transaction ME21N

We are having the following problem in regards of personal settings in the purchase order transaction ME21N

In transaction ME21N I would like to add a standard field from the purchase order to the u201CPersonal settingsu201D at PO item level. I have found out that I can use the function module u201CL_CATT_ESDUS_MODIFYu201D to update the table ESDUS with the new information. The way I did this was to write a little ABAP program so that the information in table ESDUS was filled out correctly

The problem I have is that when having done that I go to transaction ME21N and click on the icon u201CPersonal Settingsu201D and click on u201CDefault valuesu201D and click on u201CPO Itemu201D and click on u201CMore Fieldsu201D I am not able to see the new field which I have added to table ESDUS.

Is it possible without doing any modification to the Personal setting icon to add a standard field from the purchase order
