Is there any module for man power planning or how in sap can handle .Give me a general idea about that.

We are carrying out the manpower planning in SEM - BPS planning environment.

Newly, Integrated planning in BI has come to screen.

You can use that tool either.

Please can u elaborate , because client is basically a shipping company and they want to make plan depending upon skill set.We need to give a demo , so can u please tell wat is SEM - BPS, any other possibe way .

SEM (Strategic enterprise management) - BPS (Business Planning and Simulation) is the SAP solution (a different installation other than ERP) that we use for salary budgeting & manpower planning. Pls check the link for more detailed info :

Another option may be Compensation Management submodule of SAP - HCM. I have not used that module and have heard that it requires high levels of ABAP effort (thru BADI implementations). For more detailed info pls check the link:
