making storage location mandatory

Hi All,

While I am trying to create PO in ME21n system automatically takes the plant no and storage location. I dont want this .I want to make plant and storage location as mandatory and system should ask me to input these two fields . How i would do this .

Moreever in poduction plant and storage location are not defaulted ,only in dev these values are defaulted .I want to remove these from dev test my desired scenario and have to transport it to production .

u will get default values >po items heremake the plant and storag loc blank

Please Let me know Whether the Plant and Storage Location are Coming Default ( Ie before Inputting any thing like Material code etc)

HI,

Go to OMF4 transaction or SPRO - MM - Purchaing - PO - Define screen layout for doucment type.

Double click on ME21N Field Selection and then double click on Basic data, item and here you will find storage location mark it as mandatory and save and then try once again

select ME21N

in this

select field BASIC DATA,ITEM

there make plant and storage location as REQUIRED entry.
