IN DROPDOWN ONLY TECHNICAL NAME IS SHOWING NOT DECRIPTION

Hi Guys,

In our system any dropdown fileds shows only Technical name but not Description. Where to make the repair for this.

Hi,

On to the Main Page: SAP Easy Access,

Click: Alt+F12

A new window will pop-up. Here Click: Option.

Go to Tab: Expert

In Sub-Tab: Control,

Check the Boxes:

1. Show Keys in All Drop-down Lists

2. Sort Items by Keys

On to the same Main Page: SAP Easy Access,

Click: Shift+F9

Check the Last Box: Display technical names

All these setting is to display the technical name and not to display the technical name.

But I am asking for the displaying the description which is now hiden.

Hi,

You mean, say T. Code: VF02,

Check entries in Field: Billing Type

You see only:

L2

F2

S2

ETC..

and not

Debit Memo in front of L2

Invoice in front of F2, or

Cancellation of Credit Memo in front of S2

Yes you are right.

Only technical name as you said it is displaying.

hi,

I have one clue ,

If it is a Domain value , the description could be blank .

Goto table DD07V and put the domain value , execute and see the DDTEXT value , the same can be seen in another way

Goto SE11 , put the domain value - display , click on the 'Value range' tab , you can see the value with discription .

Just check and revert.

No it is not the domine name.

Whereever I have dropdown list, I am getting only technical name, but not the descritpion.

I m not sure but please check with your Basis Consultant for the settings related to GUI.

Hello,

Click the Customisung Local Layout button on the top right hand side of the easy access screen (TV kind of icon), Click Options go to the Expert tab, under the controls tab check both Show Keys in all dropdown lists and Sort items by Key .

Then Click the Extras from the easy access menu, click Settings check Display Technical names.
