MBST Vs MBRL

Hello,

Please suggest the in which case I can use MBST and MBRL.

And what could be the consequences if user use one instead off other...

We are creating PO-inbound delivery and do the migo (101) blindly and if material qty is incorrect we use MBRL. But what would happen if we use MBST ??

Would it impact "Moving average type" at any time if we use post the GR> reverse, again rebook> reverse etc...

Please suggest.

Hi

MBST generally used to cancel the Document.

For eg.) you have received 100 Qty. of material and you want to return the whole qty to the vendor.In this case, you can just cancel the document what you have posted, useing the transaction MBST.One more scenario, where you had made some wrong entries while doing GR and you want to correct your entries. In this case also you can use MBST transaction to cancel the document and you can create new one.

MBRL transaction generally used to create return delivery.

For eg. you have received 100 Qty. of material and in QI, you find 20 Qty . is defective. In this scenario, Instead of cancelling the document in MBST and againg doing the GR for the 80 Qty., you can simply return the defective material 20 Qty. to the Vendor by creating return delivery useing the transaction MBRL.

In MBST scenario, the Valuation takes place based on the GR Valuation.

In MBRL scenario, the valuation takes place based on MAP of the material.
