Renaming the Tabs on the portal

Hello friends,

I need to rename the Tabs on the portal page with customer specific text. Eg. System Administration needs to be renamed as Administration.

Could you please provide the steps to do so ?

Hi,

It is not a best practice to change the names of SAP provided contents as this will get over written during next upgrade.

If you still want to do it, goto pcd path: portal content --> Portal Administrators --> System Administrators:

Open System Admin role and then you find System Administration workset and change Name property to the text you need.

So same way you can do for any other roles.

Thanks for the input. I have a tab which is not listed in the pcd: portal administrator.

How to see that? it seems its another application running on portal.

Hi,

You should know the pcd path of tab of this application to change the displayed text.

One way to know pcd path is: Click on the options in IView tray of the page in this tab and check with httpwatch the pcdpath that is called.
