mrp in background for semifinished material

dear pp gurus,

i have one semi-finished material for which i want to set MRP Type as VB, and it contains material (RM + PM) for which i want PR to generate.

i have done those settings and message displayed as 'no materials planned'

this i want to set in MDBT (background job), what all are the settings.

Hi,

For MRP type VB, system will plan for that level only, system will not plan one level below.

For one semi finished material, system will create P.O for that material. It will not create P.O for raw material.

Hi,

MDBT transaction is used to for background MRP Run Create a Variant with your requirements from there.

In OM0E you need to create scope of planning, then you have to create the MD01 variant with is data.

This variant has to get scheduled in MDBT. If you want immediately, or periodically you can decide here.
