Prevent layout changes to IW39

How do I prevent users from changing the default layout variant.

They should only be able to change layouts they created, not the default.

I need to be able to do this to standard list edit reports such as IW29, IW39, IW49N etc

Authorization object S_ALV_LAYO can be used to prevent changing central layouts - see FAQ note 551178.

check out note 310293, I had used this for the PS functionality, but I think it might be useful for PM reporting as well

Virendra Pal, that note as well as 487128 appears to be what I'm looking for. Can this work for PM as well. I'm not sure how to apply what is recommended on SAP notes as I'm new to it.

Pete Atkin, the protect variant appears to work for selection varaints only.
