Hi CRM GURU'S
,
We have a scenerio where we want to replicate prospect from CRM to R/3
we create a BP with the BP type 'Prospect' in the Control Data/Central Data tab
till this time the BP should not be replicated to R/3
Once we change the BP type to 'Validated Prospect'
it needs to be replicated to R/3
but in the present situation also the BP with BP type 'Prospect' are getting replicated to R/3
how can i restrict these prospects from getting replicated to R/3.
both the BP types 'Prospect' and 'Validated Prospects' are of the BP Classification 'Sales Prospect'
thank you for your valuable input

An answer on this has been given multiple times already on this forum, and there are several versions. I prefer the following:
To do it correctly, you need to create new subscriptions for the R/3:
1. Delete the subscription, publication and replication object on BUPA_MAIN in SMOEAC
2. Create a new intelligent replication object with filter on IS_CUSTOMER with option EQ (which means you want only customers to be replicated). Alternatively you can create a filter on IS_PROSPECT and also option EQ, given, that this flag is set only for validated prospects.
(if you use other fields, you must make sure they are present in the BDoc header and filled also; if so, just define the filter accordingly)
3. You create the appropriate publication and subscription and assign it to the R/3 site
Now only BP's with the relevant flag from the subscription will get replicated (or those without the prospect flag). If you want, you can also use the BADI during the save event of the customer to fill the standard control fields mentioned above if you use other fields for classification.

Hi Rajasekhar,
The data replication from CRM -> ECC takes place based on the subscriptions that we give in TCODE: SMOEAC. If you want to restrict the type of data from going up to ECC you have to modify the subscription by putting a FILTER.
Say for example in your case you need to put a filter something like Acct_Grp <> 'PROSPECT acct_group'.
Please let me know if yiu have nay further questions.
Hope this helps,
Karuna.
