Changing BI-IP Variable Value

Dear Experts,

We are working with BI-IP.

2 BEX variables ( plan year and version) in our planning application are controlled centrally (there are not input allowed).

The default value for these variables is set from bex query designer or the modeler.

We would like to enable the key user to change the value for current version and or plan year from a workbook.

Does anyone know how do that ?
